| Luke 10:38-42
Luke 10:42 (KJS) But one thing is
needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from
her.
Martha was busy serving and wanted Jesus to tell Marry to help her.
He told her that ONE thing was NEEDFUL. You know, we sometimes are so busy
occupying ourselves seeking after things and doing things that are NOT NEEDFUL.
You need what GOD has for YOU.
I. EVERY PERSON NEEDS GOD'S FORGIVENESS
Roma 5:12 (KJS) Wherefore, as by one man sin
entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for
that all have sinned:
- All have been born in sin.
- All have sinned.
- He has already forgiven; all needs to receive His forgiveness.
II. EVERY PERSON NEEDS GOD'S WORD
Matt 4:4 (KJS) But he answered and said,
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Josh 1:8 (KJS) This book of the law shall
not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that
thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then
thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
- Faith comes by hearing Gods word.
Hebr 11:6 (KJS) But without faith [it is]
impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- But most of all, for eternal life.
III. EVERY PERSON NEEDS GOD'S POWER
Ephe 6:10 (KJS) Finally, my brethren, be strong
in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Phil 4:13 (KJS) I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me.
- We need God's power for supernatural warfare
- We need God's power for supernatural work
- We need God's power for supernatural witnessing
IV. EVERY PERSON NEEDS GOD'S PROTECTION
Psal 91:1-16
Psal 91:3 (KJS) Surely he shall deliver thee
from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence.
V. EVERY PERSON NEEDS GOD'S PREACHER
Ephe 4:8 (KJS) Wherefore he saith,
When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the
lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens,
that he might fill all things.)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and
some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the
edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the
Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ:
14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which
is the head, [even] Christ:
- To teach us.
- To pray for us.
- For the gifts God gave to the five-fold ministry.
VI. EVERY PERSON NEEDS GOD'S DIRECTION
Prov 3:6 (KJS) In all thy ways acknowledge
him, and he shall direct thy paths.
- Direction for everything in this life.
