| Jud.6:11-7:22
I. We as Christians often wonder why it is, that if God is with us, then why
does hard times seem to come our way.
A. We often ask the same thing Gideon ask; Where be all His miracles?
1.If there is going to be any miracles done by God, in some way, we will have
a part in what He does.
II. God ask Gideon; Have not I sent thee? Verse 13
A. We must believe that God is still in the miracle working business.
Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working
with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Judg.6: 16
1. God wants to use us for His work, but many times people look to their past
life, or their own ability, instead of looking to God's ability to accomplish
His will.
2. God said "Surely I will be with thee." We can have the faith and
courage to face any challenge that comes our way, when God is with us.
III. Gideon asks for a sign - verse 17
A. It seems like God's people are always looking for a sign to believe what
God has already said.
1. The sign doesn't cause the believing, the believing causes the signs.
IV. God instructed Gideon to throw down the altar of Baal, and rebuild His
altar. Verse 25,26
A. Past ways, that have not worked, must be torn down in our life, and our
life must be rebuilt on the Word and the ways of Almighty God.
1. Because they served Baal, they were led to the place of No Hope in their
life.
2. Following Sin will always take you to a place of Sadness and of No Hope.
3. Following God will always take you to a place of Joy of Overcoming.
