| Isai 9:6-7 (KJS) For
unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be
upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The
mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end,
upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it
with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the
LORD of hosts will perform this.
I. THE GIFT WAS GIVEN.
1. A Child is born unto us. But, a Son is given to us.
2. A Child was born, but the Son was given as a Gift.
A. The gift must be acknowledged and received.
B. When we acknowledge and receive what the Word says, God
will go to the limits of our understanding to do what His word declares.
1. You might acknowledge that
Jesus is a Saviour, but when you receive the gift, He becomes your Saviour.
2. You might acknowledge that
Jesus is a Healer, but when you receive the gift, He becomes your Healer.
3. You might acknowledge that
Jesus is a Miracle Worker, but when you receive what His word declares, He
becomes your Miracle Worker.
II. THE GIFT MUST BE WANTED.
Isai 53:3-5 (KJS) He is despised and rejected of men; a
man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces
from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem
him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes
we are healed.
1. Just as there was no room at the inn when Jesus was born, many today still
can’t seem to find room for Him in their life today.
A. Some say that they will wait until they get things
right in their life.
1. If you could get things right
on your own, you wouldn’t need The Gift.
B. Some just doesn’t want to think about Salvation
because it scares them.
1. With God there is no fear of
death.
C. Some say that being a Christian and needing God is just
a crutch we use to get through life.
1. God is not a crutch, He is an
Anchor that gives you life, not just get you through life.
III. THE GIFT IS NEVER ENDING.
John 12:31-32 (KJS) Now is the judgment of this world: now shall
the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [men] unto me.
1.God doesn’t offer the Gift because you love Him, He offers the Gift
because He love you.
A. Jesus didn’t come to stomp you down, He came to pick
you up.
B. God is not against you, He is for you.
C. God has not forgot about you, He draws all men, women,
boys, and girls unto Him.
1. When you go through trouble
time, God says " I can help ".
IV. THE GIFT MAKES ROOM.
John 14:1-3 (KJS) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in
God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you
unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
1. You may have never made room for Him, but He has already made room for
you.
A. Both heaven and hell has room for you, you must decide
which one you want.
Roma 10:9-13 (KJS) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same
Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
