MAT 14: 22-25

Sometimes it seems like God is not going to help

1. Jesus didn't come in the first watch

* the fourth watch.

The Jews at this time divided the

night into four watches;

the first was from six o'clock in

the evening till nine, the

second from nine to twelve, the

third from twelve till three,

and the fourth from three till six

Job 23:8-12

Behold, I go forward, but he [is] not [there]; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:

9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold [him]: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see [him]:

10 But he knoweth the way that I take: [when] he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.

12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary [food].

JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN'T COME RIGHT AWAY- DOESN'T MEAN HE ISN'T WATCHING

KEEP LOOKING

1 KINGS 18:41-45

Elijah was praying earnestly for rain - hold onto the promise of God of rain ( vs.36 )

(James 5:17) Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

1. He prayed but where is the rain

2. Look again

WHO WILL BEAR THE STANDARD WHEN THE ENEMY, LIKE A ROARING LION SEEKS TO DEVOUR, IN THE FIGHT OF FAITH THAT YOU MUST FIGHT?

WILL YOU KEEP LOOKING FOR THE PROMISE OF THE WORD OF GOD TO COME TO PASS IN YOUR LIFE?
