When the enemy comes- the Spirit of the LORD shall raise up a standard

A. In battle the person who carries the the flag is called
" The Standard Bearer"
B. The Standard Bearer was always in the forefront of the battle
- a place of leadership and encouragement for the others in battle.
C. If the standard Bearer ever fell, another warrior would pick
up the standard and take his place.
2.The standard is the word of God- Satan is our enemy; we are
his enemy also
A. we are told to resist the devil today-who will bear the
standard in the battle today ?
3. If he can't get you at church-he will attack you at home
A.the husband should bear the standard at home
1.He must be strong - 1 PET.3:7 treat your
wife is as the weaker vessel
2.He must be steadfast - The wife & children should
rest confident in the knowledge that he is there, bearing the standard of the
word of God
3.He must be supported - No man can be a good leader if
his wife is not by his side
4. The standard bearer must be willing to continue
till the battle has been won
MAT 14: 22-25

JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN'T COME RIGHT AWAY- DOESN'T MEAN HE ISN'T

1 KINGS 18:41-45
Elijah was praying earnestly for rain - hold onto the
promise of God of rain ( vs.36 )
(James 5:17) Elias was a man subject to like passions as we
are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on
the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the
earth brought forth her fruit.
1. He prayed but where is the rain
2. Look again
WHO WILL BEAR THE STANDARD WHEN THE ENEMY, LIKE A ROARING LION
SEEKS TO DEVOUR, IN THE FIGHT OF FAITH THAT YOU MUST FIGHT?
WILL YOU KEEP LOOKING FOR THE PROMISE OF THE WORD OF GOD TO COME
TO PASS IN YOUR LIFE?
