| I. Be Not Unwise.
Ephe 5:14 (KJS) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and
arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk *circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord
[is].

1. Become God will minded.
A. What does God want?
B. What does God say?
C. What has God already said? (The Bible)
II. Watch Out For Traps.
2Cor 11:14 (KJS) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed
into an angel of light.
1. The devil can try to disguise himself as God.
A. To lead you in a different direction then God wants you
to go.
B. To confuse you, so you don't know if it is God or not.
2. Not everything that glistens is gold!
III. There Is Our Way, And There Is Gods Way.
Isai 55:8 (KJS) For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither
[are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than
your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
1. Sometimes our ways seems right. (Prov 16:25 (KJS) There
is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of
death.)
A. Sometimes our ways are right, we just need to make
sure.
2. Even Jesus always sought after Gods direction. (Luke 22:41 (KJS) And
he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless
not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.)
IV. Just Because You Want To, Doesn't Mean God Wants You To.
1Chr 17:2 (KJS) Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that [is] in
thine heart; for God [is] with thee.
1. Nathan told David to do what was in his heart, but God said NO.
1Chr 17:4 (KJS) Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD,
Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:
2. Just because you have a desire, doesn’t' mean God does want you to, or
that He doesn't want you to.
A. You can't go by what it looks, or feels like.
B. You can't go by what others say or do.
V. Make Sure It Is God.
1. Many people who stand behind the pulpit are not called by God; they just
had a desire.
A. It doesn't seem to hurt anything, they just seem
boring.
1. But really it does heart because they are not doing what God has really
called for them to do.
2. Other people who are called by God to stand behind the pulpit are not
there, because they are not sure if it is Gods will for them.
A. That hurts, because they never reach the people that
they could have.
VI. How Can I Know It's God?
1. Prov 3:5 (KJS) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
2. Roma 12:1 (KJS) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.
3. Ask God!
A. 1Sam 30:8 (KJS) And David enquired at
the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he
answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake [them], and without fail
recover [all].
1. David had a desire to go.
2. It seemed right to go.
3. Others were sure to go.
4. But David asked God what His
will was.
B. By God saying "go, and recover all", there
wasn't a devil in hell that could stop what God had said.
VII. Wait Till You Know.
1. Wait till you get an answer, but then make sure you go.
2.If God be for you, it will be good!
