2Kings 5:1-14

(Deut 11:24) Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

1. GET UP.

A. You have to step out of the old before you can step into the new.

B. You have to desire to be some place different before you will get up.

(Mark 5:25-28) And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

I have a chance to change the way things are, but I must get up from where I am, and step to where I'm not.

John 5: 1-7

2. MAKE SURE YOU STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

A. The man was trying to step into the water, when he could have stepped into the promise.

B. The man had a promise that God was his healer.

(Exod 15:26) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.

(John 5:10) The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry [thy] bed.

Rom. 4: 3, 11-21

3. FOLLOW THE LEADER.

A. Walk in the footsteps of someone who has been there. Don't follow unbelieving believers.

B. Make sure that all paths lead to Jesus.

C. Always hang on to hope.

(Rom. 4:18) Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
