| EX 23:20-33
1. (VS. 20) GOD DESIRES TO BRING YOU TO A PLACE THAT HE HAS PREPARED FOR YOU.
A. Just as God had a place of promise for His people of old, He has a place
for you today.
B. If you desire to go there, He will keep you heading for that place, until
you arrive.
2. (VS. 22) IT IS A PLACE WHERE GOD WILL BE A ENEMY TO YOUR ENEMIES.
A.( ISA. 54:17 ) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is]
of me, saith the LORD.
3. (VS. 24) IT IS A PLACE WHERE WE WILL HAVE TO DO SOME OVERTHROWING.
A. (1Tim 6:10-12) 10 For the love
of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have
erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou
art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
B.( Matt 12:35-37) 35 A good man out of the good treasure of
the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure
bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall
give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be
justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
4. (VS. 25) IT IS PLACE WHERE GOD WILL BLESS.
A. God has promised that if we would serve Him, that He would
bless us.
(Deut 28:1-6) 1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken
diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe [and] to do all his
commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee
on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou
shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the
field.
4 Blessed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and
the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and blessed [shalt] thou
[be] when thou goest out.
B. (Mala 3:10-12) 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that
there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of
hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a
blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy
the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the
time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome
land, saith the LORD of hosts.
5. (VS. 25) IT IS A PLACE WHERE GOD WILL TAKE OUR SICKNESS AWAY.
A. (Exod 15:23-26) 23 And when
they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they [were]
bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, [which] when
he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them
a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy
God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his
commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon
thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth
thee.
6. (VS. 26) IT IS A PLACE THAT IS NOT BARREN.
A. (John 10:7-10) Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not
hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go
in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.
7. (VS. 27) IT IS A PLACE OF ( FEAR ) FAVOR.
A. (Deut 28:9-10) The LORD shall establish thee an holy people
unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of
the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of
the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
8. (VS. 29-30) IT IS A PLACE OF PROGRESSIVE INCREASE.
A. PSA.115:1-18
God does not expect us to always stay in the same place that we
are now.
9. (VS. 31) IT IS A PLACE WITH BOUNDARIES.
IT IS A PLACE THAT YOU MUST ENTER, BUT CAN BE EXITED.
A. You chose to serve God, and you can chose to walk away.
( 2Chr 15:2 ) And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me,
Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD [is] with you, while ye be with him;
and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will
forsake you.
10. (VS. 29-33) IT IS A PLACE WHERE THE WORLD IS DRIVEN OUT OF YOUR LIFE, DAY
BY DAY.
A. ( Hebr 10:16-23 ) 16 This [is] the covenant that I will make with
them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and
in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the
blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the
veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And [having] an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our
hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he
[is] faithful that promised;)
