Examine yourselves

2Cor 13:5 (KJS) Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

I. WE NEED TO EXAMINE OURSELF.

1. Our Salvation.

2. Our beliefs.

3. Our relationship with God.

4. Our calling.

5. Our faith in Gods ability.

II. DO YOU BELIEVE GOD IS ABLE?

1. It is according to our faith in what God has said and done that brings the manifestation of His promise.

A. It is not a question of if God is able; it is a question of whether you believe He is able.

2. The things that Jesus paid for at Calvary are available to us.

3. God has set before us what we need, be we must do our part to receive them.

A. We must believe what God has said.

B. We must speak what God Said.

C. We must be whom God Says.

Deut 30:15-20 (KJS) See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, [and that] ye shall not prolong [your] days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and] that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he [is] thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

III. DRAW NEAR TO GOD.

1. When you draw near to God, by spending time with Him, you come to the place that you know Him, and understand Him, and believe Him.

A. You become fully persuaded that what He has promised, He is able to perform.

Roma 4:16-21 (KJS) Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:

20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

IV. GOD IS ABLE.

1. One promise of God is no harder for God to do then another.

A. The problem is our ability to believe.

B. It is no harder for God to heal then it is for Him to save.

C. Healing cancer is no harder than a headache for God.

2. Although it is no harder for God to do, it is sometimes harder for us to believe.

3. When we examine ourselves, we can see where our faith level is.
